Hello
everyone! I'm Dr. Ladona Wyatt. I'm excited to be a new member of the
Family PetCare team because of the high quality medicine and excellent,
caring staff that make me feel so welcome.
I was blessed to work as a pediatric RN for 14 years, but still felt my
calling was animal medicine. I graduated with my BS in Marine Biology in
2000 from Texas A & M Galveston, and worked for several years with the
Texas Marine Mammal Stranding Network, rescuing sick and injured
marine mammals along the Texas coastline. While this was rewarding
work, I felt I could do more, so I returned to school and graduated with my Doctorate of Veterinary
Medicine degree in 2007 from Texas A & M University.
I worked at a 24 hour Emergency clinic for a year after graduation, and
quickly became skilled in emergency and critical care medicine , as well
as developed a strong interest in internal medicine, especially
geriatric felines. I missed the long-term relationship with my
clients and their pets though, so I moved to a small animal/exotic
practice, where I also developed my avian and exotic medicine. Due
to the economic downturn, I found myself searching for a new clinic
home, which I have now found at Family PetCare!
My husband is a proud member of the Fort Worth police department, and we
have one daughter, one grand daughter, and another grand-baby on the
way. We are also "parents" to a menagerie of pets, including
Greyhounds, a Rottweiler, cats, and a canary named "Baby Chick".
I am proud to be a new member of the Family PetCare team and I look
forward to caring for your furry, feathered, or scaled family members.
